What Is A Smartboard & How it Works?

Smartboard is an interactive whiteboard that turns computer and projector into a powerful tool for teaching and presentation. With the computer image projected on the board just use fingers and press the large touch-sensitive surface to control the computer. This allows students and staff to make presentations in front of the room instead of having to be on the team.

Using one of the pens from the Smart Pen Tray type in the board and touch screen tells the computer what color pen you are using and your notes are projected onto the screen with the correct color. You can save these notes on the computer or send to the printer that is given as an aid in the study. These are just some of the many uses of this wonderful instrument. Using the Smartboard you can do:

Save notes written on the Board to a computer file

Use your fingers to press the board to control Windows and Macintosh applications and other multimedia materials projected onto the board. You can then write on top of your applications and keep records in a database.

The notes and annotated images can be printed on a printer from a computer, e-mail, sent to a network, copy and paste into other applications or saved as HTML files. Smart Board software, included with every Smart Board dramatically enhances group collaboration. Slates are ideal for schools and meeting rooms or any application that needs visual communication or collaboration over the Internet. Imagine a workspace where communication flows freely between individuals and groups who are in the office or thousands of miles. Collaborate with colleagues or clients by creating a session of the conference a few seconds to install and can do all this from your office, saving time and travel expenses.

How does the SMART Board work?

It uses resistive technology, which means there is a small air gap between two sheets of resistant material within the smartboards. When you press the edge with your fingers or a dry erase board markers standard contact point is registered and its coordinates correspond to the same area on the computer screen. Because the Smart Board technology is based on resistance, this does not require a special stylus or pen to perform mouse function.

Whiteboards allow users to interact and play. Board control any computer application creates and writes notes, draw diagrams and illustrate ideas. We can focus on highlighting key information with electronic ink and also capture images, notes or updates and save the printing of notes or email. Using an interactive whiteboard allows you to simplify your work and, of course, in the Council relative ease, use of tools.

People choose the Smart Board because it helps to stimulate and motivate student’s presentations. Today it is the worldwide leader in interactive boards. Combining the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer, Smart Board engages students and audiences around the world.

The touch screen is connected to the computer and digital projector shows your computer image. You can then control computer applications directly from the display, write notes in digital ink and save your work to share later.

Best of all, all the features of Smartboard is incredibly easy to use. If you can use a computer, you can use a Smart Board.
